Job summary

The Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Multi-Skilled Technician for the Emergency Care Center. This role provides both patient care and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualified candidates may hold Florida licensure as CNA/EMT/Paramedic or national EMT licensure, or be nursing students eligible for CNA exam, or have PCT/CNA certification with Florida CNA licensing timeline. CPI within 1 year is required.

Qualifications

• CPI Crisis Intervention within 1 year of hire.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Familiarity with basic computer applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and administrative support in Emergency Care Center.
• Assist with coordinating patient flow and documentation.
• Maintain readiness for safety and CPI standards.

Job Summary

The Multi-Skilled Technician is an experienced health care worker who provides both patient care and administrative support.

Required Qualifications

• Require one of the following:1.) Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment; or2.) Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam are required to: a.) currently be enrolled in an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN); b.) have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN and c.) cannot be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN; or3.) Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation. • Require completion of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Crisis Intervention class within one (1) year of hire/promotion/transfer date.

• Prefer the ability to assess, interact, communicate, and care for specific patient population, served by the department.


• Prefer the ability to work with minimal supervision.


• Prefer working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
