Job summary

Solid Commercial Solutions is seeking a multi-skilled maintenance technician to service commercial, residential, and industrial clients with a focus on drywall repair and carpentry. You will perform maintenance tasks, light installations, and repairs, while reading measurements and reporting needs for major repairs.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in maintenance, basic electrical/plumbing knowledge, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience as a maintenance person.
Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing.
Basic math skills.
Ability to communicate with peers, the office staff and the customer.
Well-organized and apt in problem-solving.
Painting interior and exterior.
Drywall repair / patching / caulking.
Minor plumbing and minor electrical knowledge.
Flooring repair and installation.
Handyman, general repairs.
Great customer service and client relations.

Responsibilities

Maintenance and light repairs.
Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks, etc.).
Undertake light installation or carpentry (e.g. fix cabinets).
Diagnose and fix general repairs (e.g., cabinet hinges, draw glides, ceiling tiles, patching and painting, etc.).
Read and report off of a tape measure.
Fabricate and install cabinetry, trim, and furniture.
Diagnosis and fix minor electrical and plumbing.
Identify and report the need for major repairs.
Provide accurate and honest solutions.
