Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment and machinery at our facility in Phoenix, AZ. You will operate hand and power tools, perform welding, and troubleshoot malfunctions under the supervision of the Head Mechanic.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and technical training; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. You will work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to plant reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational certification preferred or equivalent training.
• Ability to read instructions and manuals and follow steps.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Lift up to 80 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and machines.
• Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, and change parts.
• Weld and use cutting torch as needed.
• Perform general repairs to plant structures.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Troubleshoot machinery and discuss repairs with Head Mechanic.
• Replace faulty parts, wires, motors, and circuit boards.
• Test equipment and ensure proper operation after repairs.
• Dismantle equipment to access defective parts as required.
• Lubricate and clean parts to maintain operation.
