Job summary

Serrato Corporation is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to work on-site in Manhattan, KS. The role covers painting, carpentry, plumbing and electrical work, following manuals and work orders to keep facilities operating reliably.

You will diagnose problems, perform preventive maintenance, and provide technical support to maintenance staff. A high school diploma and 2–3 years of maintenance experience are required.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Basic computer literacy (email, internet, Adobe Acrobat).
• Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, landscaping, painting, etc.
• Health and safety practices knowledge.
• Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed safely and correctly.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain facilities and equipment.
• Provide emergency and scheduled repairs.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Diagnose problems and replace or repair parts; test and adjust.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas; coordinate with student workers.
