Job summary

3M is hiring a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to operate at the Nevada, MO site. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, drives, and PLCs, while following strict safety procedures.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, reading electrical schematics, and performing preventive tasks. A high school diploma is required, with three years of industrial technician experience or a related engineering degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of industrial manufacturing technician experience in private/public/government/military environment or a technical degree in an engineering-related field.
• Experience with safety protocols and industrial maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, test, repair and adjust AC/DC motors and drive systems including PLCs and related control systems.
• Perform wiring and installation up to 480 volts AC following NEC/OSHA standards and safe practices.
• Read and modify AC/DC drawings and wiring diagrams according to 3M practices.
• Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication per PM routes and manuals.
• Use shop tools and fabrication skills for equipment installation, light metal work, painting, and related maintenance tasks.

Education
