Job summary

3M is seeking a PLC Controls Electrician to join our global team. The role focuses on analog/digital drive systems, PLC logic, HMIs, and maintaining electrical diagrams and P&ID drawings for safe, efficient operation.

You will work with Rockwell and Siemens control systems, perform preventive maintenance planning, and troubleshoot electrical circuits and drives. The position may require weekend work and overtime per production needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate with an associate degree in electrical/electronic field or 5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits, drives and PLCs.
• Must be legally authorized to work in country without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work with analog and digital AC/DC drive systems, calibrations/metrology, NEC, HMIs.
• Create, read, modify, or update electrical diagrams: elementary diagrams, PLC logic, P&ID drawings, etc.
• Work with electrical tools, test equipment, and instruments used in industrial plant applications (oscilloscopes, DMMs, meggers, chart recorders).
• Improve manufacturing processes by working on Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) and Siemens control systems.
• Evaluate equipment and maintenance history to determine and implement preventive or predictive maintenance.
