Job summary

Oaks of LA in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for a retirement community with independent and assisted living facilities. Under supervision, you will perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks in a multi-area facility.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in electrical, carpentry, painting, A/C systems, electronics, boiler, or mechanical systems and can work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in at least one of: electrical, carpentry, painting, A/C systems, electronics, boiler or mechanical systems.
• Computer skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks.
• Inspect and maintain assigned areas, troubleshoot and communicate issues.
• Adjust and repair failures to maximize equipment efficiency and effectiveness.
• Attend a hospital-wide orientation, followed by a department-centered orientation, drug screen and background check.
