Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its Composites Technology Centre in Sheffield on a permanent basis. You will deliver reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance across electrical, mechanical and fluid power systems, with fault finding and documentation via the CMMS.

You’ll manage contractors, support continuous improvement, and work with suppliers and OEMs. The role operates alternating shifts (06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00) and offers a

Qualifications

• Full Engineering Apprenticeship and/or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering.
• Multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Experience using a CMMS for maintenance reporting.
• Experience with hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read fault-finding electrical/mechanical/fluid power diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across varied machinery and equipment.
• Fault diagnose and resolve issues; communicate with leaders and teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement; provide feedback on maintenance.
• Supervise contractors and issue permits to work.
• Log maintenance tasks accurately in the CMMS and manage spares inventory.
