Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain and build new buildings across multiple sites in Salt Lake City, UT. The role involves general maintenance, installation, repair and preventive inspections, including roofs, with hands-on use of various tools.

The position requires experience in electrical, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping, a valid driver’s license, and the potential for D.O.T certification sponsorship. 18+ years old and a commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping.
• Valid driver’s license.
• D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul).
• Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
• Use a variety of hand/power tools effectively to complete tasks.
• Keep track of company truck and gas card.
• Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.
