Job summary

Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Multi-Skilled Electrical Technician to join the Engineering Team at Colchester Hospital. The role covers repair, maintenance and installation of plant and building fabric, with on-call duties and a split-shift pattern discussed at interview.

Candidates should have a recognised trade apprenticeship and an engineering qualification (BTEC HNC/diploma or City & Guilds) and proven experience in non-routine maintenance of complex

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised trade apprenticeship and hold a BTEC HNC/diploma in Engineering or equivalent City and Guilds qualification with proven experience in non-routine maintenance of complex engineering plant and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, procure and replace defective parts for major plant up to £2k.
• Carry out full range of maintenance duties including non-routine, planned, corrective and breakdown tasks on electrical plant.
• Work on bedhead services and building fabric in wards and departments with incidental patient contact.
