Job summary

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Estates Maintenance Craftsperson (Electrical) to maintain health service premises across the estate. You will install, test, commission, and repair electrical and electronic systems along with associated mechanical equipment, ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

You will work independently and as part of the trade team, participate in cross-trade tasks when required, and attend training courses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of electrical work to maintain health service premises across the estate.
• Install, test, commission, maintain, service and repair electrical and electronic systems as well as associated mechanical equipment.
• Maintain a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors with regards to building fabric and building services.
• Work as an individual and as part of the trade team; participate in cross-trade working as required.
• Attend training courses as necessary and prioritise workloads to ensure tasks are carried out effectively.
• Be willing to travel to all sites across the estate and to expansion locations.
• Wear PPE and keep it in good condition.
