Job summary

Felix Schoeller North America, Inc., located in Pulaski, NY, seeks a multi-skilled Maintenance Technician for its paper converting operations. The role requires diverse maintenance duties across production and facilities, with attention to safety and reliability.

You will perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance, read blueprints, and utilize Schoeller software to support machine performance. Flexible shifts and on-call availability are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with computers, drives and controllers on equipment; proficient in MS Office.
• Documented electrician and mechanic/pneumatics/instrumentation experience in industrial settings.
• Knowledge of drives and motors; ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Ability to perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic repairs and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment.
• Work any shift and be on call for emergency repairs.
• Collaborate with team and communicate effectively across backgrounds.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals; use maintenance software.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance as assigned.

Felix Schoeller North America, Inc., located in Pulaski, New York has an opening in the Maintenance Department at its paper converting operations. Position requires a multi skilled maintenance technician in a variety of disciplines.

Duties include:

• Ability to be Fork Truck Qualified


• Must be willing to perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain new and existing production and facility equipment according to safety procedures, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.


• Must be willing to work any shift and be on call to provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.


• Must be a strong team member willing to work as assigned with good interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


• Must be capable of analyzing process data and making decisions on equipment maintenance and improvement activities.


• Must be willing to perform plumbing, carpentry and painting as assigned


• Perform Filter changes for trim system, electrical and HVAC equipment as directed


• Documented experience as an electrician in an industrial setting.


• Documented experience as a mechanic/pneumatics/instrumentation tech in an industrial setting.


• Detailed knowledge of drives and motors


• Ability to learn and use Schoeller business management software


• Basic knowledge of Fire Alarm Circuitry


• Ability to work on ladders, lifts, cranes, etc


• Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

Education:

Minimum requirement is High School graduate or GED equivalent.

Required Skills:

• Experience working with computers, drives, controllers on equipment and Ability to use computer software including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, other associated programs.


• Documented experience as an electrician in an industrial setting.


• Documented experience as a mechanic/pneumatics/instrumentation tech in an industrial setting.


• Detailed knowledge of drives and motors


• Knowledge and experience of Power Distribution


• Ability to read and interpret Blue Prints, Schematics, Ladder Logic, Equipment Manuals, and Electrical diagrams


• Perform maintenance skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.


• Ability to learn and use Schoeller business management software


• Ability to work on ladders, lifts, cranes, etc

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.


• Welding skills desired.


• Basic knowledge of Fire Alarm Circuitry.


• HVAC knowledge and troubleshooting skills desired.
