Job summary

Synthomer is seeking a Labor and Employee Relations Specialist to serve as SME for a multi-site unionized manufacturing environment in the US. The role administers collective bargaining agreements, manages initial grievance processes, and supports hourly recruitment and labor-relations initiatives.

The position partners with Operations, HR, and site leadership to ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and CBAs, while traveling ~25% to Jefferson Hills, PA; Akron, OH; and Magadore,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Employment and Labor Relations or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in labor relations, human resources, or employee relations.
• Experience in a unionized environment; knowledge of CBAs and grievance administration.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain productive labor-management relations across multiple sites.
• Advise management on employee relations, performance, discipline, and policy interpretation.
• Coordinate investigations related to grievances, ethics reports, and employee complaints.
