Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services in Charlotte, NC seeks a Maintenance Technician II to service commercial and industrial properties. This role involves daily travel to client sites, performing PMs and repairs, coordinating with teams, and using a flow-to-work approach with ownership attitude.

Candidate must have HS diploma, valid driver's license, forklift/JLG licenses, and experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems; strong communication and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required; preference for some undergraduate business or trade school training.
4 years’ experience and/or training in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry; combination acceptable.
Valid driver’s license, Forklift operator’s license, JLG operator’s license required.
Ability to interpret instructions and operate building systems; strong communication and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Abide by safety guidelines (OSHA, lock‑out/tag‑out).
Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on HVAC, fire life safety, plumbing, electrical systems.
Repair/maintain transformers, motors, MCC panels, drives, and related equipment.
Handle dock equipment, lighting, and building infrastructure maintenance.
Document work results and manage parts ordering, vendor communications.
May manage maintenance projects and guide subcontractors.
Assist with non‑customary schedules and weekend work.
