Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Structured Cabling Technician to support technology infrastructure projects across the Charleston area. You will install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot CAT5/CAT6 cabling as part of a large‑scale modernization initiative.

The role requires experience with structured cabling, CAT5/CAT6 termination, and familiarity with punch-down tools and cable testing equipment. Expect local travel between sites and onsite work in Charleston, SC.

Qualifications

• Experience with structured cabling installations.
• Knowledge of CAT5/CAT6 termination and testing.
• Familiarity with punch-down tools and cable testing equipment.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Pull, patch, terminate, and test CAT5/CAT6 cabling.
• Troubleshoot network cabling issues.
• Work in network closets and follow site drawings/documentation.
• Complete service tickets and project-related tasks.
• Travel between local sites as needed.
