Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated school psychologist to support elementary and middle school students in the Troy, MI area. This contract, part-time position spans 20–30 hours per week across 2–3 school buildings, providing psychoeducational evaluations, IEP support, counseling, and collaborative problem-solving to enhance student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• State of Michigan certification as a School Psychologist or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Proven experience working with elementary and/or middle school populations.
• Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and IEP development.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with MTSS and RTI.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple buildings with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and comprehensive assessments for students.
• Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide direct counseling to students and consult with teachers and families.
• Collaborate on early intervention, behavior management, and crisis prevention programs.
• Participate in problem-solving and data review meetings to support student achievement.
• Offer guidance on classroom accommodations, 504 plans, and behavioral plans.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and student-focused school culture.
