Job summary

Hexion is seeking a Reliability Engineer to support a network of small manufacturing plants across North America. You will drive a proactive reliability culture by leading root cause analyses, managing CPM/RCM practices, and coordinating cross-site improvements to reduce downtime and extend asset life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
• Experience in reliability, maintenance, or engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of reliability methodologies — RCA, FMEA, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Willingness to travel across the plant network as required.

Responsibilities

• Pull and review downtime, failure, and repeat-work data to identify top bad actors.
• Lead asset criticality ranking across the plant network.
• Facilitate cross-functional criticality workshops for calibration and consistency.
• Lead or facilitate RCA for top failures and develop lasting corrective actions.
• Apply PM, predictive maintenance, and lubrication optimization strategies.
• Track performance KPIs and report reliability trends to leadership.
