Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of asphalt and aggregate testing and design procedures.
• Ability to blend aggregates and asphalt to specifications to meet VDOT requirements.
• Ability to work with senior management to accelerate product improvement and differentiation.
• Experience supervising, training, and developing QC technicians.
• 3-5 years of experience with aggregates and asphalt.
• 3+ years of experience managing QC labs and multiple facilities (preferred).
• Certifications in Soils & Aggregate Testing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee QC functions at 3 quarries and 1 specialty products location.
• Ensure inspection of production output meets customer specs.
• Develop Quality Control Technicians and monitor their work.
• Evaluate resources to meet quality goals.
• Assist in maintaining environmental permits.
