Job summary

Coastal Sunbelt Produce is seeking a Production Manager to oversee Production and Warehouse operations across multiple locations. You will manage budgets, lead staff, and be the go-to IT/technical contact for the unit while driving engagement and safety.

The role requires 7+ years in food production, HACCP/GMP familiarity, and strong leadership with the ability to optimize plans, labor, and equipment. A Bachelor's in Business Management is preferred. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor of Science in Business Management preferred.
• 7+ years of Production/Manufacturing experience in a food environment; HACCP and GMP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans to ensure orders are completed on time.
• Determine headcount requirements and labor utilization to meet goals.
• Schedule equipment and resources to support each plan.
• Track yield rates to meet business goals.
• Manage work orders and ensure fiscal period closures are proper.
• Set department performance metrics to monitor productivity.
• Ensure metrics support business goals and budgets.
• Develop and monitor annual department budgets; manage resources to meet goals.
• Track expenses vs. budget and align with policy.
• Lead production and warehouse teams; ensure safety, quality and policies.
• Coach Supervisors and teams to balance productivity, quality and customer service.
• Maintain a safe work environment and oversee employee relations.
• Conduct regular meetings to discuss policy changes and improvements.
• Coordinate training and HR interactions as needed.
• Oversee procurement of materials and services.
• Serve as IT, telecom and systems contact for the unit.
• Identify areas for improvement in each department.
• Maintain presence across shifts; respond to incidents.
• Ensure SOPs are up-to-date and safety standards are met.
• Coordinate emergency response and safety inspections.
