Job summary

QuidelOrtho in Rochester, NY seeks a Manager, Production Planning to lead cross-site planning activities across three manufacturing sites. You will manage a team of production planners, standardize planning processes, and translate forecasts into executable production schedules to optimize throughput and service levels.

The role requires 7+ years in production or supply planning, strong S&OP knowledge, SAP PP experience, and a background in Life Sciences or Chemicals manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in production planning, supply planning, or manufacturing planning.
• Multi-site manufacturing planning leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of S&OP, capacity planning, and master scheduling.
• SAP PP and supply chain planning module experience.
• Life Sciences or Chemicals manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning activities across three Rochester manufacturing sites.
• Manage and develop a team of production planners.
• Establish standardized planning processes, tools, and metrics across all sites.
• Translate demand forecasts into executable production plans.
• Develop short-, mid-, and long-term capacity plans.
• Identify production constraints and coordinate mitigation plans.
• Oversee production schedules that optimize throughput and service levels.
• Establish and monitor KPIs including schedule attainment, service levels, capacity utilization, planning accuracy, inventory health, and backorders.
• Lead continuous improvement and ERP/planning system enhancements.
