Job summary

Jobtailor in Rochester, NY is seeking a senior leader to oversee production planning across three sites. You will translate forecasts into actionable plans, lead a team of planners, and drive standardized processes to improve throughput and service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in production planning, supply planning, or manufacturing planning.
• Multi-site manufacturing planning leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of S&OP, capacity planning, and master scheduling.
• SAP and advanced analytics experience.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
• Life Sciences or Chemicals manufacturing experience preferred.
• SAP PP and supply chain planning module experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning across three Rochester sites.
• Manage and develop a team of production planners.
• Standardize planning processes, tools, and metrics across all sites.
• Translate demand forecasts into executable production plans.
• Lead monthly supply reviews and support the S&OP process.
• Develop short-, mid-, and long-term capacity plans.
• Identify production constraints and coordinate mitigation plans.
• Oversee production schedules that optimize throughput and service levels.
• Monitor schedule adherence and drive corrective actions.
• Establish and monitor KPIs including schedule attainment, service levels, capacity utilization, planning accuracy, inventory health, and backorders.
• Lead continuous improvement and ERP/planning system enhancements.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Materials Management, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Network Planning.
