Job summary

QuidelOrtho in Rochester, NY, seeks a Manager, Production Planning to lead production planning across three Rochester sites. You will translate demand forecasts into executable production plans and manage a team of planners in partnership with Manufacturing, Materials, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering.

You will establish standardized planning processes, drive continuous improvement, and oversee KPI-driven scheduling to maximize throughput and service levels in an onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in production planning, supply planning, or manufacturing planning.
• Multi-site manufacturing planning leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of S&OP, capacity planning, and master scheduling.
• SAP and advanced analytics experience.

The Role

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Manager, Production Planning to work in our manufacturing facility in Rochester, NY. The Manager, Production Planning is responsible for leading production planning activities across three Rochester manufacturing sites. This role ensures integrated production plans balance customer demand, manufacturing capacity, inventory objectives, and service requirements. The position leads a team of production planners and partners with Manufacturing, Materials Management, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Network Planning.

This position is onsite in Rochester, NY.

The Individual

Required

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in production planning, supply planning, or manufacturing planning.
• Multi-site manufacturing planning leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of S&OP, capacity planning, and master scheduling.
• SAP and advanced analytics experience.

Preferred

• APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Life Sciences or Chemicals manufacturing experience.
• SAP PP and supply chain planning module experience.

The Work Environment

The work environment characteristics are representative of an office, manufacturing, laboratory, and warehouse environment and include handling of viral and bacterial hazards, potentially hazardous chemicals, as well as infectious or potentially infectious bodily fluids, tissues and samples. Up to 75% of time at desk, standing or sitting extended periods of time. Flexible work hours to meet project deadlines.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $102,360.00 to $133,000.00 and is bonus eligible.
