Job summary

Mark-Taylor in Chandler/Tempe, AZ is seeking a Multi-Site Facilities Technician (Porter/Groundskeeper) to maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of our communities and to provide outstanding service to residents.

You will work at one of our Mark-Taylor communities, ensuring grounds, exteriors, and common areas stay welcoming and well-maintained. Prior groundskeeping or porter experience is highly valued, and a collaborative team mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail, with an eye for cleanliness and maintaining the overall appearance of the community.
• Ability to perform general groundskeeping, cleaning, and upkeep to maintain community standards.
• Ability to work independently while managing daily tasks and priorities.
• Dependable and proactive, with a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and guests.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Willingness to work cohesively as a part of a team.
• Prior experience working as groundskeeper, landscaper, porter, or related position is especially desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds, and work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, dumpster areas, parking lots and other community buildings.
• Remove trash from exterior grounds, trash containers, and vacant apartments prior to make-ready process.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including property walks and landscaping assessments.
• Daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and upkeep of pool(s), tot lots, light fixtures, breezeways, amenity areas and BBQ grills.
• Perform janitorial tasks, including power washing, light exterior painting of speed bumps, curbs etc.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of community grounds.

Compensation

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $19.00/hr.
