Job summary

Mark-Taylor is hiring a Multi-Site Service Technician at our POD 5 communities (San Cervantes, San Palacio, San Marbeya) in Chandler & Tempe, AZ. You will help keep our communities running smoothly by handling maintenance repairs and contributing to the upkeep of the community.

The role offers a base pay of $22.00 per hour, with an additional $3.00 per hour on-call incentive, plus opportunity for certified pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA credentials.

Qualifications

• General knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape, appliances, and OSHA standards.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service orientation and basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is desirable.
• Basic written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct minor AC/heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical, plumbing, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care and ensure safe chemical balance.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards and inform the Manager of Facilities and Service.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service and be available in uniform.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.

Compensation:

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00/hr.
• All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications***

Requirements

In This Role You Will:

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and corrects the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members and is readily available to go the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
