Mark-Taylor, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Technician (Porter/Groundskeeper) at Nexa in Tempe, AZ.

In this role, you will work at one of our beautiful communities and represent Mark-Taylor through the delivery of exceptional customer service while contributing to the cleanliness and curb appeal of the grounds and interiors. We are hiring a Facilities Technician who will maintain grounds, perform janitorial tasks, and support community amenities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to work well in a team and with residents.
• Experience as groundskeeper/porter is desirable.
• Basic written and spoken English is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds, and work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, dumpster areas, parking lots and other community buildings.
• Remove trash from exterior grounds, trash containers, and vacant apartments prior to make-ready process.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including property walks and landscaping assessments.
• Daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and upkeep of pool(s), tot lots, light fixtures, breezeways, amenity areas and BBQ grills.
• Perform janitorial tasks, including power washing, light exterior painting of speed bumps, curbs etc.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of community grounds.

Compensation

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $19.00/hour.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Willingness to work cohesively as a part of a team.
• Ability to interact positively and courteously with team members and residents.
• Prior experience working as groundskeeper, landscaper, porter, or related position is especially desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.
