Job summary

Realty Center Management Inc in California is seeking a dedicated Multi-Site Porter/Groundskeeper to maintain our Americana La Crescenta and Sunset Ridge communities. You will help keep grounds, common areas, and amenities clean, safe, and well-presented across multiple sites.

This hands-on role blends physical work with teamwork to support the maintenance staff, manage exterior upkeep, and enhance resident experience. Prior groundskeeping or maintenance experience is a plus.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous groundskeeping, janitorial, or maintenance experience a plus.
Ability to operate basic tools and cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of grounds, parking areas, and property perimeters.
Sweep sidewalks, breezeways, and common walkways.
Maintain dumpster areas and support periodic power washing.
Assist with basic exterior upkeep including signage, lighting, and curb appeal.
Clean and maintain pool areas, furniture, and surrounding spaces.
Empty trash receptacles and maintain overall cleanliness of amenities.
Support upkeep of shared outdoor areas and equipment.
Assist with trash-outs and preparation of vacant units.
Deliver notices, newsletters, and communications to residents.
Follow safety procedures and company standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Multi-Site Porter / Groundskeeper, you play a key role in maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community. You’ll ensure the grounds, common areas, and amenities are clean, safe, and well-presented while supporting the maintenance team with day-to-day operations.

This role is hands‑on and fast‑paced, combining physical work, attention to detail, and teamwork to create a community residents are proud to call home.

Key Responsibilities

Grounds & Exterior Maintenance

Maintain cleanliness of grounds, parking areas, and property perimeters
Sweep sidewalks, breezeways, and common walkways
Maintain dumpster areas and support periodic power washing
Assist with basic exterior upkeep including signage, lighting, and curb appeal

Pool & Amenity Areas

Clean and maintain pool areas, furniture, and surrounding spaces
Empty trash receptacles and maintain overall cleanliness of amenities
Support upkeep of shared outdoor areas and equipment

Common Area Upkeep

Maintain cleanliness of laundry rooms and shared interior spaces
Keep common areas organized, clutter‑free, and presentable
Support overall property appearance standards

Unit Turns & Maintenance Support

Assist with trash-outs and preparation of vacant units
Support maintenance technicians with assigned tasks
Deliver notices, newsletters, and communications to residents
Assist with special projects as needed

Resident Experience

Provide courteous and professional interactions with residents
Promote a positive and welcoming community environment
Represent the property with professionalism at all times

Team Support & Operations

Work collaboratively with maintenance and management teams
Follow safety procedures and company standards
Assist with additional duties and operational needs as assigned

Supports strong curb appeal and overall property appearance
Completes assigned tasks consistently and on time
