Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic/Utility Person to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on ready mix plant equipment, maximizing uptime across multiple locations.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, inspect and replace components such as conveyors, mixers, motors, and gearboxes, and support safe, efficient production with operations teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and travel between multiple ready mix plant locations as needed.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on ready mix plant equipment to maximize operational uptime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems associated with plant operations.
• Inspect, maintain, and replace components including conveyors, mixers, motors, gearboxes, and related production equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repair work on ready mix concrete trucks as needed, including routine inspections and mechanical repairs.
• Partner with operations teams to support safe, reliable, and productive performance across multiple ready mix plant locations.
