Job summary

Trinity Health in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Phlebotomist for the Outpatient Lab to perform venipuncture, specimen receipt, processing, and data entry with a focus on accurate labeling and timely routing of samples. The role requires flexibility between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturday shifts every 3 weeks from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of phlebotomy, medical assistant, or patient care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of phlebotomy, medical assistant or patient care technician training.
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred if formal training and certification as a phlebotomist is not obtained.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and specimen processing.
• Registers outpatients in EPIC and determines preliminary payment obligation.
• Maintains workstation cleanliness and adequate supply levels.
• Ensures accurate patient samples, demographics and diagnosis codes for testing.
