Job summary

OccuMedX is seeking a Nurse Case Manager to provide centralized clinical case management, documentation oversight, and client support for occupational health programs across multiple construction and industrial sites.

You will manage injury and illness cases from notification through closure, coordinate follow-up and return-to-work activity, and serve as a clinical resource to onsite teams and client leadership.

Qualifications

• Active clinical license (RN or equivalent) required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience, preferably in occupational health, emergency medicine, urgent care, or onsite medical services.
• Experience with injury case management, chart review, and clinical documentation preferred.
• Experience performing or overseeing drug testing and physical ability testing preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, bloodborne pathogen standards, and Fit for Duty program requirements preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing communication required.
• Case management or occupational health certification (CCM, COHN, COHN-S, or similar) preferred.
• Experience supporting construction, industrial, or multi-site client environments preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems required.

Responsibilities

• Manage occupational injury and illness cases from initial notification through closure.
• Establish timely case follow-up, including worker contact, treatment status, referrals, restrictions, and return-to-work progress.
• Coordinate with onsite medical personnel promptly when a new injury or escalation is identified.
• Escalate complex or high-risk cases to leadership.
• Maintain clear case status and closure criteria with timely follow-up.
• Monitor injury trends and identify opportunities for early intervention.
• Review clinical charts and documentation for quality and completeness.
• Identify missing documentation and communicate corrections to relevant teams.
• Support POET program oversight including drug/alcohol testing and physical ability testing.
• Serve as a clinical resource to onsite teams on injury management and exposure response.
• Collaborate with Medical Director or clinicians when needed.
• Promote early intervention and appropriate escalation of care.
• Coordinate and support client POET programs and testing in accordance with policies.
• Ensure proper documentation and confidentiality for all testing activities.
• Serve as a liaison among onsite personnel, operations, and client representatives.
• Participate in clinical process improvements and standardization efforts.
• Maintain availability during working hours for case escalations and client needs.
• Communicate case findings professionally and timely.
• Coordinate internal employee health management and exposure follow-up.
