Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to design, install, and maintain our multi-site network and supporting infrastructure. The role centers on centralizing operations, integrating surveillance cameras and access control systems, and helping deploy internal servers and AI infrastructure per company needs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on network engineering, deployment and support.
• Experience designing, installing, and maintaining multi-site networks.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain network infrastructure across multiple locations.
• Support centralized systems, including internal servers and AI infrastructure.
• Integrate surveillance cameras and access control into a central management environment.
• Implement and maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, switches and routers.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform upgrades and preventive maintenance.
• Provide technical support for network and infrastructure across sites.
• Maintain secure backup connectivity and local server support for critical data.
• Document network configurations, topology, inventory, and changes.
