Job summary

Combined Metals Company LLC is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to provide technical leadership and drive process development for cold strip mill operations handling nickel, cobalt and related alloys.

You will partner with manufacturing, quality, sales, and customer teams to improve material quality, processing efficiency, and manufacturability, while maintaining consistent final properties across production runs. This role requires strong analytical and mentoring skills and travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of process/metallurgical/manufacturing engineering experience in metals.
• Experience with cold strip mill processing of nickel, cobalt, stainless steel or similar alloys.
• Strong data analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective action skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement to improve material quality and processing efficiency.
• Provide metallurgical support for cold rolling, thermal processing, cleaning, and finishing.
• Analyze data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Support disposition of nonconforming material and investigate failures.
• Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional improvement projects.
• Communicate requirements to internal stakeholders and customers.
