Job summary

The Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services seeks a Mental Health Center Director to provide administrative oversight and leadership for day-to-day clinical and facility operations across three Western Connecticut Mental Health Network sites in Danbury, Torrington, and Waterbury.

The role includes on-call clinical consultation during evenings and weekends, comprehensive coverage for the CEO's absence, and supervision of clinical programs, facility operations, and evidence-based practice

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a health-related field.
• At least five years of managerial experience in hospital, health, or mental health administration.
• Knowledge of full continuum of mental health services and program planning.
• Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
• Experience managing behavioral health clinical operations and facility operations.
• Current license in clinical social work, counseling, nursing, psychology, psychiatry, or related field may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative oversight for day-to-day clinical and facility operations across three sites.
• Lead agency committees and provide on-call clinical consultation during evenings and weekends.
• Ensure coverage for agency functions in the CEO's absence and maintain program compliance.
• Oversee clinical programs, facility operations, and evidence-based practice implementation, ensuring Joint Commission standards compliance.
