Job summary

Orbitform, located in Jackson, MI, seeks a Controller to lead financial operations for Orbitform and its affiliates Wardcraft (Spring Arbor) and C&B (New Hudson). You will own the accounting function end-to-end, from ERP administration and month-end close to budgeting, forecasting, and job costing, while leading a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting required or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years in plant/manufacturing accounting roles preferred
• CPA or MBA a plus
• Experience with ERP/accounting software and Excel reporting tools
• Experience supporting accounting/finance across multiple business units or locations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own setup, monitoring, and maintenance of the ERP system across departments and entities
• Develop and maintain strong processes and controls for accurate, timely transaction recording
• Manage financial reporting systems, dashboards, and scorecards
• Lead monthly close, reconciliations, and preparation of monthly financial packages across all entities
• Review job costing and standard costing, monitor variances, and provide pricing feedback
• Oversee accounts receivable billing and collections and credit terms
• Analyze investment opportunities and operational efficiencies
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and systems
• Manage forecasting and predictive analytics processes
• Prepare annual budgets with leadership across locations
• Lead, develop, and manage the accounting team, including hiring and performance management
