Job summary

Fairgrove Property Management, a Irvine, CA-based company serving Southern California, seeks a Maintenance Technician to service multiple properties. The role is full-time (40 hours weekly) with roving responsibilities across properties in the Los Angeles area.

Compensation is $24.00/hr plus a benefits package including medical, vision, dental, 401K, and paid time off. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in property management, strong computer skills, and owns tools to complete work orders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in property management or a related field with customer service experience.
• Strong knowledge of computers and technology including cloud-based software and applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Excellent communication skills and organization to manage multiple priorities.
• Honest, trustworthy and accountable; clean driving record and valid license.
• Provide own tools to complete work orders.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, assess, repair, and replace HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on properties and units.
• Repair or replace floors, ceilings, walls, and other building items.
• Maintain daily maintenance records and action items.
• Interact with vendors professionally and provide great service to team and residents.
• Support company mission and values; communicate timely and effectively.
• Complete emergency and routine service requests; turnover make ready tasks.
• Prepare vacant units for move-ins and remove trash as needed.
• Utilize computer, tablet and smartphone software for work orders.

Job Summary:

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the rental properties in excellent condition, both inside and out. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, highly customer focused, technically skilled, fast moving, and technologically proficient. This position services multiple properties.

Essential Job Functions – Position Requirements:

• Troubleshoot, assess, repair, and replace HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
• Conduct preventative maintenance on the properties or within the units
• Repair or replace floors, ceilings, walls, siding, doors, door hardware, windows, window screens, and other general building items
• Maintain accurate record of daily maintenance records and action items
• Interact with vendors and suppliers in a professional manner
• Provide exceptional customer service to the team and residents
• Support Fairgrove Property Management's mission and values
• Communicate in a timely and effective manner
• Complete emergency and routine service requests
• Turnover make ready tasks
• Assist in the preparation of vacant units for new move-ins.
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash as needed.
• Utilize computer, tablet and smart phone software and applications
• Perform other tasks as requested
• After hours emergency response as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in property management or a related field, with customer service experience
• Strong knowledge of computers and technology including cloud-based software and applications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
• Great communication skills
• Organized and able to manage work orders for multiple priorities
• Honest, Trustworthy & Accountable
• Clean driving record with valid driver’s license
• Dependable transportation
