Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to supervise multiple pools across locations (Parkway, North Suburban, Waltham, Reading). You will guard the pool, enforce rules, and respond to emergencies following YMCA protocols.

The role requires active lifeguard certifications, availability for varied shifts, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Compensation is hourly with a $500 sign-on for certified guards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Active Lifeguard Certifications required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Guard the pool and ensure patron safety.
• Enforce pool rules and maintain order.
• Respond to emergencies with CPR/First Aid.
• Complete incident reports promptly.
• Keep the pool environment clean and safe.
• Attend required trainings and drills.
