Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking an Operations Manager - Landfill to oversee daily landfill operations, ensure safety, environmental compliance, and equipment maintenance, and lead a team of supervisors and operators to meet density and permit requirements.

In this role you will collaborate with the General Manager to implement operational plans, manage budgets and drive process improvements while maintaining a safe, compliant work environment across multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience managing landfill operations or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee landfill operations staff including supervisors and operators.
• Develop supervisory goals and resolve safety issues and claims.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and maintenance policies.
• Coordinate with General Manager and Area Manager on operational plans.
• Monitor safety programs and manage labor hours and expenses.
