Job summary

SunState Medical Specialists in Florida seeks a Lab Manager to lead laboratory services across multiple physician-owned locations. You will drive safe, accurate testing, standardized workflows, and regulatory readiness while guiding QA/QC, proficiency testing, and process improvements.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years of progressive laboratory leadership, a BLSc in a relevant field, and certification readiness; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred in healthcare admin or related discipline.
• ASCP/AMT or equivalent certification preferred, as applicable.
• Meet CLIA and state requirements for laboratory oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for laboratory services across multiple locations.
• Ensure safe, accurate, and compliant laboratory testing and workflows.
• Develop and maintain standardized laboratory procedures across sites.
• Monitor performance, staffing, turnaround times, and service levels.
• Lead QA/QC programs, proficiency testing, and process improvements.
• Oversee inspections, readiness, and corrective actions for regulatory findings.
• Coach and support laboratory managers, supervisors, and staff.
