Job summary

Syngenta seeks a Site Operations Manager in Durham, NC to lead delivery and continuous improvement of Group Facilities Management (GFM) services across assigned locations. You will oversee multi-site facilities operations, supplier performance, financial management, and the real estate portfolio, partnering with site leaders and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• 5+ years in corporate facilities management and real estate operations.
• Experience managing budgets and cost-optimization initiatives.
• Proven experience in contract governance and supplier management.
• Strong knowledge of facilities-related regulatory, legal, compliance, and HSE requirements.
• Ability to lead, influence, and engage teams across locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of facilities services across multiple sites, including security, maintenance, cleaning, catering, utilities, and portfolio management.
• Provide leadership to the area facilities organization with clear communication, engagement, accountability, and morale.
• Manage budgets and financial performance with Regional GFM leadership, Finance, and suppliers; identify productivity improvements.
• Govern SLAs, KPIs, performance reviews, data analysis, issue resolution, and escalation management.
• Serve as a trusted facilities partner to site leadership and regional/global stakeholders, providing strategic guidance.
• Lead capital, maintenance, and operational projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with regulatory compliance.
• Oversee real estate portfolio, maintain data/tracking systems, and develop aligned strategies.
