Job summary

Rumpke is seeking a District Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for multiple sites in the assigned region. You will manage budgets, lead frontline and management teams, and drive growth while maintaining safety and high service standards.

You will partner with senior leaders to translate objectives into local plans, ensure compliance with contracts, and promote environmental stewardship across communities.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in waste management or transportation operations, including multi-site leadership.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and requirements (DOT, OSHA) and financial performance.
• Proven track record leading teams and improving operational metrics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee district performance across safety, service, cost and productivity.
• Lead and develop managers; ensure execution of company standards.
• Manage district budgets, forecasting, and P&L.
• Drive growth for the district including organic growth and M&A opportunities.
• Partner with executives to set strategy and ensure alignment with objectives.
• Represent the company at community and municipal engagements.
