Job summary

CBRE Government & Defense Services is seeking an Area Manager to oversee multiple cleaning sites, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety while managing staff and resources. You will supervise employees, coach and evaluate performance, and coordinate daily activities to meet deadlines and KPIs.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, client relationship building, and implementation of best-practice initiatives to keep operations at the forefront of cleaning and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in supervision, performance evaluations, and coaching.
• Microsoft Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision for employees, conduct evaluations and coaching.
• Coordinate daily activities, set schedules, assign tasks and cross-train staff.
• Lead and inspire a diverse team to deliver top-notch service.
• Drive relationships with clients at all levels and achieve KPIs.
• Plan and implement best-practice initiatives and innovations for cleaning operations.
• Plan advanced cleaning operations with clear schedules and sign-off duties.
• Train and develop the team to establish good working practices.
• Support the business in service matters and client contracts.
• Own cleaning feedback and resolve complaints to closure.
• Approve payroll and manage labor for cost savings.
• Perform daily site audits to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Ensure KPI/SLAs are met and non-compliance is addressed with action plans.
• Model CBRE/GDS values and influence stakeholders to reach agreement.
• Apply disciplinary knowledge to achieve team goals and resolve issues.
