Job summary

inploi is seeking a reliable Building Support Operative to maintain safe, clean environments across multiple properties in the Wigan borough. You will carry out minor repairs, grounds maintenance, cleaning, and assist with deliveries and site upkeep.

The role requires health and safety awareness, the ability to work independently across locations, and strong communication with residents and staff. Experience in practical building maintenance and the ability to lift and work at height are

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, caretaking, grounds maintenance, or similar practical roles.
• Ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance safely and effectively.
• Comfortable working independently across multiple sites and managing priorities.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and risk awareness.
• Good communication and customer service skills; able to report defects and hazards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out minor repairs and building checks across multiple properties.
• Perform grounds maintenance and cleaning tasks as required.
• Assist with deliveries, furniture movement and site upkeep.
• Help ensure environments are compliant, well-presented and safe for users.
• Work with health and safety procedures and report hazards promptly.
