Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc. in Orlando is seeking a Building Engineer to oversee the reliable operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems across multi-site facilities.

Qualifications

Preferred seven years direct experience in commercial building operations and maintenance.
High school diploma or equivalent and technical school certification.
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems and equipment.
Good computer navigation skills and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Proven ability to read, interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, diagrams, etc.
Previous experience in planner / scheduler role.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, investigate and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and building systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs for all commercial systems.
Manage completion and follow‑up for reactive on‑demand work orders in the CMMS.
Conduct facility walks and create proactive work orders; report findings to Site Manager.
Coordinate and manage vendor and subcontractor activities; ensure compliance with standards.
