Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking an Area Director to oversee multiple after-school programs in Southern and Central New Hampshire. This hands-on, people-focused leadership role involves coaching Site Directors, building partnerships with schools, and ensuring high-quality, safe programs for children and families.

You’ll be in the field, scheduling coverage across sites, ensuring licensing compliance, and driving enrollment goals while delivering an engaging, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 2–3 years of supervisory experience.
• Background in childcare, youth development, K–12 education, or a similar environment.
• Experience managing and controlling staff schedules and daily operational coverage across multiple locations.
• Comfort working directly with school administrators and building staff.
• Familiarity with state childcare licensing requirements a plus.
• Must pass a full background check including fingerprinting and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple after-school programs across Southern and Central New Hampshire.
• Support Site Directors and ensure programs are staffed appropriately.
• Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements and monitor program quality.
• Build strong partnerships with school leaders and community stakeholders.
• Lead, coach, and develop Site Directors to ensure program excellence.
