Job summary

American Campus Communities is seeking a Director of Property Management to drive leasing, marketing and facilities operations across multiple student housing properties. You will recruit and develop teams, manage budgets, and partner with universities to align on capital improvements that boost property value.

You will lead communications across the portfolio, ensure safety, compliance, and exceptional resident experiences while mentoring staff and coordinating with regional leadership.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ of leadership experience in student or multi-family housing, or similar industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field preferred
• Skills in leasing and marketing, customer service, facility management, budgeting, supervision, business administration, public relations, residence life, and a combination of business and student development skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for leasing, marketing, and facilities across multiple properties to meet ACC standards.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, train, coach, and develop direct reports to maximize performance; create a positive, engaging workplace for teams.
• Oversee maintenance, curb appeal, and capital plans to maximize asset value.
• Collaborate with University partners and internal support teams to address concerns and advocate for capital improvements.
• Lead portfolio performance to budget, maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
• Attend resident events and resolve escalated resident concerns.
