Huntington Hotel Group is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to lead catering sales and events for three properties in the San Diego/Oceanside market. The role focuses on generating catering business, planning events, and partnering with hotel teams to ensure a memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering sales or hotel sales preferred.
• Motivated, client-focused and willing to learn; training provided if needed.
• Strong ability to build relationships and close deals within a hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Drive catering and banquet revenue through proactive sales efforts (calls, emails, appointments, site visits).
• Solicit and secure corporate meetings, weddings, and other events to meet sales goals.
• Develop relationships with corporate clients, planners, and referral partners to generate new business.
• Respond to leads within 24 hours and follow up to convert inquiries to bookings.
• Coordinate event details: menus, guest counts, layouts, timelines, and A/V needs.
• Prepare proposals and contracts reflecting event requirements and pricing.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue via menus, upgrades, and added services.
• Track deposits, deadlines, and contractual requirements in coordination with departments.
