Petersen Precision Manufacturing in Farr West, UT seeks an experienced welder supervisor to interpret blueprints and weld symbols, plan fit-up, and lead a crew from kickoff to sign-off. You will expedite parts through the plant to meet production goals and schedules while resolving issues quickly.

The role requires basic shop math, strong teamwork, and a commitment to safety. Expect overtime as needed and opportunities for on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of shop or field welding experience.
• Ability to follow explicit and implicit instructions; resolve conflicts; make sound decisions under pressure.
• Solid shop math with emphasis on trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply blueprints and weld symbols to plan fit-up and weld sequences.
• Supervise a crew and complete projects from kickoff to sign-off with minimal oversight.
• Expedite parts through the plant to hit production goals and schedule commitments.
• Resolve job-related challenges quickly and decisively; remove roadblocks.
