Job summary

Sinclair, Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a Special Projects Producer to manage a range of newsroom projects from election planning to I-Team specials. If you are a Jack-of-all-Trades with strong writing and production skills, you will help create compelling content for broadcast, digital and social platforms.

The role requires producing longform specials and Town Halls on deadline, with a solid grasp of copyright and defamation law. Availability for nights, weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in line and/or field production.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field.
• Familiarity with SAGA/MIMIR, Premiere, Xpression, Tagboard a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce compelling content for broadcast, digital and social platforms.
• Interview and profile candidates; communicate with campaigns at all government levels.
• Handle longform specials, Town Halls and other deadline-driven productions.
• Collaborate with team; ensure copyright and defamation considerations are respected.
• Work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
