Job summary

Sinclair Broadcast Group's ABC 7/WJLA-TV in Washington, DC is seeking a Special Projects Producer who can handle election planning, I-Team specials, and a range of newsroom projects with a take-no-prisoners work ethic.

You will write, produce, research, and create graphics for broadcast, digital, and social platforms, while coordinating longform specials, town halls, and deadline-driven segments. Collaborative team player with a solid understanding of media law will excel here.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in line and/or field production.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field.
• Familiarity with SAGA/MIMIR, Premiere, Xpression, Tagboard a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce compelling content for broadcast, digital and social platforms.
• Produce longform specials, Town Halls and similar productions on deadline.
• Collaborate with team and manage deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with copyright, libel and defamation law.
• Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
