Job summary

Sinclair Broadcast Group seeks an experienced on-air reporter for WJLA 7 News in Arlington, VA. The role requires delivering compelling stories across live, VOSOT, social posts, web pieces, and in-depth interviews, with strong ethics and a team-first mindset.

The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of reporting in a commercial newsroom, thrive under strict deadlines, and aim to grow as a storyteller in a fast-paced 24/7 newsroom environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years on-air reporting experience in a commercial newsroom.
Comfortable with strict deadlines.
Desire to grow as a reporter and storyteller.
Comfortable with challenging feedback.
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or a related field.

The hourly compensation range for this role is $43.27 to $53.45. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans,flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
