Job summary
Hercules Materials Holdings seeks an operations leader with strong mechanical aptitude to optimize ready-mix performance across the Detroit metro area. You will partner with plant leaders, maintenance, and dispatch to raise reliability, efficiency, and on-time delivery while developing personnel and using data and AI-enabled tools.
The role blends leadership with hands-on engineering, analytics, and process improvement in a fast-scaling, family-owned business.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ready-mix concrete or related heavy industrial operations.
- Experience with P&L responsibility, cost control, budgeting, or operational financial accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Construction Management, or related field.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Area Managers to improve plant and fleet performance.
- Lead safety, reliability, and preventive maintenance initiatives across facilities.
- Drive data-driven improvements using automation, telematics, and AI-enabled analysis.
- Coach and mentor team members to build future operational leaders.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company standards.
